Travelers Journal: Bricks (Before Writing)

I want to be able to keep an erratic diary of sorts in my travelers journal, one where I can just write a few lines here and there about my day. I had the idea of creating layouts with spaces inviting me to write. This is my first one, before I have writen.

The inspiration came from the paper. I tore out the bricked section, being careful to follow the lines of the design. It was then cut to size and stuck down using double-sided tape. I added grid paper boxes framed with thin black washi, before hand drawing in the other details.

I still haven’t added my first entry as I am waiting on a date stamp to arrive to make things a little more interesting, but I already feel the urge to fill those little boxes with mind and musings.
