I had been putting off starting my travelers journal for weeks – and not just because it looked so pretty. I was struggling to come up with an idea on how to start. I wanted to create something special and personal, something I would be happy to reflect upon in the years to come. This is what I eventually came up with.
I hadn’t done any drawing in while, so it was nice to allow myself the time to really enjoy it, especially when I am hoping to do more of it in my journal.
Even though I had always loved drawing since I was a child, I didn’t really start to develop my style until I turn 20. I love the clean, yet grungy feel of the black ink. The half skeleton thing is also something I used to love doing, as a way to show ones hidden darkness.
To finish, I created a background with washi tape and added the headers using a DYMO Organizer Xpress. I am very happy with the end result, but it does leave me with another problem – what to do for the next page?
